Pfitzauf et Maya Bee dans les Alpes

Dear

February 25th, 2008

I saw that my friend Holly started a journal and thought that it seem like I good idea. So, bear with me, as I am not so elegant with words. I found out that I was pregnant with you while I was working in Belgium. I was so excited that I called your father with the good news at I believe at 6h00 in the morning, which is very early for me. I was so afraid, as I was not so lucky the first time. It seems that you started your life, was due to a little get away in Bruggs, Belgium.
So, we begin our adventure. I made an appointment with a wonderful doctor in Belgium and was able to get a ultrasound (u/s) right away and was informed that everything looks good at the moment. It was a small releif, as I couldn’t help worring about our prior experience. So, I just continued on and tried to let you grow in peace. We went to the gym, to try to stay in shape and all was going well. We even went skiing, although the fatigue was starting to kick in, so days were cut rather short. There is always next year and hopefully “Omi” Grandma Lenormand will help let this happen by watching you.

We were to leave for Ireland and mommy had a bit of a scare, because I felt great and I was not having any pregnancy symptoms. I was nervous that it might not be meant to be. So, a quick run to the doctor and it showed you looking like a baby for the first time. It was awesome. Your heartbeat was going nice and strong. March was a busy month for us. We spent most of the time in Belgium.

April had us home in Grenoble for almost 2 weeks. You dad got to see you for the first time. It was fun to see his expression. We got some video w/o sound of you acting like a little Mexican jumping bean. It was great. I can never wait to see you! A couple days later me, you, and Pfitz took off for Belgium for a couple of weeks. We had better weather than the past 5 months, so we were able to walk the dog outside. We also took a quick weekend trip to Germany to the Rhine valley. There unfortunately we had lousy weather. Hopefully, we will go maybe next year, when you can see the beauty for yourself.

May, We celebrated your grandfather’s 70th birthday in Aze (Pass on our way home from Belgium) on May 1st. Where we told the rest of the family that a new addition would be arriving in October. They were all very happy. Then we made our way home to Grenoble to find that we had no water. Not a great thing to come back to, especially when I was already not thrilled to go back. So, we had to go to a friend’s house, so mommy had easier time to go 500 times to the bathroom :) Everything was finally corrected for Monday night, after 4 days without water. The next weekend took us for 2 day to the Provence area of France, Fontaine du Vaucluse. It was very pretty and relaxing. Now we are waiting for our checkup this week. We will try to see if e can change the ultrasound date, because mommy wants to know if you are a boy or a girl. TBC
