Joys of June

Trip to Nice
Friday, June 12, we got the family packed into the car (dog and all) and headed down south to Nice to see Michelle Dauphinais, before she took off on her luxury cruise! It was great to see, as they live in California and seem to miss each other each time we go to Boston for a visit. We spent the day with them in Monte Carlo (Monaco) walking around and ate a great meal!! I wish that I took the name of the restaurant, as they served excellent fish. They even prepare the fish for you, by taking off the head and removing the skin and bones, which is not the typical way to be served fish in France.) They were exhausted from all the traveling, so we said, Goodbye, and we went to our hotel in Nice and went swimming. It was very warm that day.

I’m 25 again can you believe it
So, last week I celebrated what will now be the first of many 25th birthdays. We were suppose to have people over for just a normal dinner and ended up being an impromptu birthday party. This was probably one of our last dinners with Manu and Erika for some time, as they are moving to the south of Brazil for a couple of years. There was also Pato and her man and Fifinne. I got some beautiful flowers and my darling husband bought me a beautiful sapphire and diamond necklace, ring, and earrings. I also got a yogurt maker, so Maya can have good organic yogurt. It was a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures from the evening:

Got Milk!

Bye Bye 6 Months, Hello 7

June 5th, 2009

So, my little Bee, you are now 7 months, aghhhhhhhhhh! Your second tooth made its appearance Saturday morning. You were only a little fussy last week, so we figured that it was going to pop out soon. You are getting more and more athletic, you prefer standing and siting up. Laying down is for babies, lol. You seem to be a bit of a munchkin, which is probably why you can move so much. When you have decided to get something, you roll ands roll until you get to the place where the object is.
You are even communicating now; you let me know that you are hungry by pulling down my shirt, lol. You started eating some meat the other day (May 31). We discovered that you aren’t really thrilled about fish yet, you seem to enjoy beef as much as mommy and daddy.
May 29, we had your friend Manon and her mommy, and Erika over for lunch. The next day our tooth arrived, then we were off to your first barbecue at Mimi, Emile, and Martins house. So much fun; can’t wait to do it again. The res of the weekend had mommy and daddy getting the apartment ready to be put up for sale.
Anyway, for your 7 months, I thought that we would do a fashion show to say bye bye to all your 6 months clothes:

Capri pants rock!

Back

June 4th, 2009

So, I am now back to work, since 1 week. Only cried the first 2 days, as I only worked 3 days last week and this week, as well as next week. Can’t really complain. The first day back was dreadful, as there is a big layoff going on. For the moment I still have a job, and hopefully will stay that way for awhile. I miss my little Bee something fierce, but I really want her to be able to grow up in a house. Besides the tense atmosphere, the actual working part is going pretty good. I actually participated in 2 productive meetings!! This doesn’t ever happen, so I was very pleased to see people actually working together.
