Pfitzauf et Maya Bee dans les Alpes

September 26th, 2009

So, Maya decided to go right to attacking the stair, aghhhhhh! Forget walking (almost there, just needs to slow down a bit), we like doing more dangerous things. I put her in our kitchen, which is seperated from our living room by 5 steps. I was sitting on the steps tying myshoes, when little miss muffit appeared. I didn’t think that she would do anything, so I continued to tie my shes. She gets this glint in her eyes and starts giggling and starts climbing. I can tell you that I was completely dumbfounded! I never thought in a million years that I needed to worry about this already!
So, Here she is in all her glory (sorry, but the file is a little big and needs a recent version of VLC or Quicktime):

10 months!

September 4th, 2009

Maya turned 10 months today! We made our monthly trip to the “PMI”. The PMI is one of France’s social services that I love and think should exist everywhere. The PMI has a pediatric nurse available 2 days a week, so moms can go by to ask question about feedings, weight gain, colds…, and also to weigh and measure babies and children. It is wonderful and FREE!! SO, I go twice a month to weigh and measure Maya and to ask questions, mostly about feeding. It is great for non-urgent maladies, such as colds.
Anyway, Here are the stats from our visit the other day, for Maya’s 10 months:
Height:70 cm / 27.5 in
Weight: 7.950 kg / 17.5 lbs
Teeth: a whooping 6!!

She is tiny, but mighty!! She is all over the place. Pfitzauf (the dog) is cursing us for buying her a walker.
Here she is burning rubber

She finds Pfitz particularly funny and interesting. We purchased her a little toilet and she took it out for a test drive:
The first run, she was an unsatisfied customer; the steering wheel comes off for crying out loud!

But after a couple of adjustment and teeth finally came in, BLISS!:

Look, No Feet!!
