Pfitzauf et Maya Bee dans les Alpes

Ahhhh, the South of France

August 29th, 2010

This past weekend, we decided to take a quick trip to the South of France, so Maya could play in the big sandbox!! Also, went down to indulge my Oyster hunger. I was not let down. We had some really great oysters that where just fished in front of where we ate.
Maya had a great time playing in the sand, but was not to comfortable with the sea. My little fish much prefers the swimming pool. She can actually swim with just the floaties and not hold onto us!!

Chez Omi

August 29th, 2010

Busy, Busy, Busy. Good thing that Maya travels so well, because it seems that we havent stopped, since our trip to Boston in June! We have found ourselves in Az quite often this summer. One weekend for the 40th Birthday party of Jean-Marcs cousin (I hope to receive some pictures soon) which was a blast. The next weekend was to visit with Jean-Marcs cousin from Germany whom was passing through Az, because there is the annual town fair that takes place every year. Her son just finished a year of studying at a high school in Missouri. I cant get over how fluent he is in English!!! We had a lot of fun hanging out with them:

Maya was delighted to pass her time on the rides with her cousin Johanna. Lots of wines flows during this occasion.
They had to do a few rounds to discover the best ride to go on ;)

Nope, not this one

Getting better:

Here we go:

Mayas cousin Johanna has as much energy as Maya does!!
When we werent hanging out at the fair, she was usually building, or rather crashing blocks with her dad:

Maya is definitely her moms girl; she loves hats, as much as her mommy:

A couple of days later, Maya and I found ourselves back in Az, to drop off Mayas Omi. Omi came to our house to babysit, as our nanny is on vacation. The weekend started off ok, then those darn teeth showed up and may things quite tense. We did enjoy visiting the cities close by and go to the park:

But the best part about “chez Omi” (Omi’s house) is the pool!! Maya is a complete fish. She is actually swimming alone with arm floaties!!
