Batter Up!!!!!!

September 12th, 2011

So, this weekend there was a sport forum at our local sport store. I found out about it, because my gym coach runs a cheerleading gym and summer camp. So, we went to check it out. It was awesome, but it was hots as the dickens. I found out that there is a baseball and softball league. They had a batting cage and invited Maya to take a swing. She did great. After, they asked if I would like to take a swing, I said, sure. I forgot how much I loved playing! They liked my form and asked if I would like to play with them!!!!! I was thrilled, and I can’t wait to get started!!
Here is mom taking a few swings:

Mini Bee taking a few swings:

Then we stopped by my friend Thierry’s stand to take a look at his girls. They took Maya and did a couple of lifts with her. It was so cute:

We just need to work on her arms ;)

We hit the gymnastic mats, but we could barely stand on them, and decided that we would just wait for the gym.

Of course, she rode the ponies that were there. Have to snag those pictures from Dad’s phone, when I get a chance.

My Bee goes to School!

September 11th, 2011

So, last week September 5, 2011, Maya Bee started her first day of school. She did great! It was really cool, because while the kids wait for all the others to arrive, they kids can do any activity that they want. Maya beelined it right to the paints and has been doing it every morning since. Her teacher “Maitresse” Dominique is very kind and Maya seems to like her.
We chose this school, after visiting a few and finding out that the classes have a minimum of 29 students and one teacher and one assistant, because it only has a maximum of 15 students. Plus, it has a playing yard with grass!! Most of the schools are tarmac. All the schools in Grenoble seem to be really outdated and in need of refreshing!! Even ours could use some refreshing.

Anyway, here are a couple of photos from her big day. She looks so grown up:

Let’s just say that some where happier than others that Maya was going to school, LOL!

My little Picasso! I already have 5 paintings from last week.
