Pfitzauf et Maya Bee dans les Alpes

Why I do declare that Grampi has a little Southern Belle

October 16th, 2011

Today was the OpenHouse Halloween party here in Grenoble. It was lots of fun and lots of sugar!!!! Maya made her trick or treat bag and a little candle holder. Then there was a best costume contest and little Miss Maya Bee won!! Along with her side kick and BFF Olivier. Then we just let all the kids run off the sugar high. It was a good time and look forward to next year. Here are some picks of the preparations and the party:

Fall Fun

October 16th, 2011

This fall has been great. We have been having amazing weather, up until this past weekend, it has been in the high 70′s. I am just putting away Maya’s summer clothes.
I have been busy driving Maya and myself to our activities. I have joined the local girls softball team! I was surprised to see that I can still hit pretty well. Sept 25th, we had a tournament against 3 other teams. It started out very foggy, but ended up being a gorgeous day! I played 2 out of the 3 games. We won the 2 that I played in. We ended up winning the tournament, so it was a very good weekend. It keeps me busy, training 3 times a week, and I love it!
Miss Maya Bee is doing poney and gymnastics and seems to really enjoy it. She really seems to love gymnastic, chip off the ole block!

Last weekend was a annual pumpkin trip. Actually, we usually go to Greoux les Bains in Aix en Provence to visit my mother-in-law, who does a cure for her breathing. Jean-Marc discovered 3 years ago, a pumpkin fair that actually has real pumpkins. So, now we go every year to get our pumpkins.

We took a moment to watch France win their game against England to continue their quest to win the World Rugby Cup. We were all decked out in our France supporters shirts.

Then we headed over to one of my favorite little town in Aix en Provence, Moustiers, where they have a star hanging between 2 peaks. It is very beautiful.
