Maya moving it again

What a weekend!

November 5th, 2012

Well, Our Maya Bee has turned 4! And this year was all about Cinderella and her fellow princesses. Funny thing, the French aren’t big on dressing up, so I was a bit worried. But, when I had asked the kids to come dresses as prince, princess, or fairy, most of the mothers asked me, if they needed them to bring extra costumes, in case somebody didn’t have one.
So, needless to say, This year was a huge success!!!!
As usual, I tested my hand not only at doing the cake, but making Maya her dream princess dress.

We woke Maya, as usual, singing Happy Birthday to her, as she woke. I gave her the dress, and her reaction was totally worth the time that I spent making it! Unfortunately, It was quite a bit long and had to make last minute alterations, right before the party. Nothing like a little added stress. but when all was said and done, I think that it doesn’t look to bad. I made the dress, headband, and necklace.

Strike A Pose she is turning into a real little Diva :)

The Royal Kingdom

Let Them Eat Cake!!!!
FYI, The doll is LONG, so make sure you make lots of cake, or like me, have lots and lots of icing on hand. I’m not sure who like the cake more the parents or the kids LOL. Glad it was such a hit!!!

We even found a white pumpkin on our Pumpkin picking weekend to do Cinderella’s carriage, which we used her walking horse that we got for her birthday. Daddy even help put on the ribbon!

The Party Favor was also Mommy Made I had to open up the side of each shirt to embroider them on my machine. Why should it be easy :) But the kids seem to really like them!

Secret to a successful party, Lots and Lots and Lots of balloons, especially filled with helium!!!!!! The kids loved playing with them.
