Pfitzauf et Maya Bee dans les Alpes

Where have we been????

March 3rd, 2013

Dear Maya Bee,
It has been sometime since I wrote in your blog. Since your birthday, it has been pretty crazy!!! You spent almost two weeks with Omi and Grand-Pere by yourself, well, Johanna was there much of the time. When we went to pick you up, we took a couple of family photos while we were there in Az.

We finally got to celebrate Peios birthday with him, as we seemed to always be away. We had a GREAT time. We celebrated Thanksgiving Nov 25 with Openhouse and I forgot my camera!! We had a very good time and ate lots of food. It was great sharing the cooking task!

We did find some time to take one last walk with Pfitzauf, before we left for our big trip and take a family picture for our Holiday Greeting Card.

Then we were off to Omi and Grand-Pres for St Nicolas, where we had a great time as usual!!!
I need to locate those pictures, hmmm
The next day, bright and earlier, we were confronted with a snow storm, but we still manage to lake it to the Lyon airport for our trip to Boston. We got off late and missed our connecting flight to Boston and had to stay the evening in Munich. Even with the exhaustion, Munich airport was kind and even the security was kind and thorough. See, goes to show you that security officers dont need to be assholes

We finally make it to Boston to see our little Kayleigh. Maya was so excited to meet her. Unfortunately, we had to keep contact to a minimum, as Mommy was feeling under the weather and ended up spending the first two weeks of our vacation in bed. Thank goodness, Gammie, Grampi, and Auntie Stacey kept you well occupied. They discovered very quickly that you have loads and loads of energy. You even got to go to school while you were there at Mommys old school and loved it!!!!!
Finally, you got to meet your cousin and adored her!

You even got to do a little holiday show. We got to eat your beloved donuts!!

We even got to show our French friends around Boston, as they were also visiting at the same time!

We celebrated Mayas birthday at the Rainforest Restaurant in the Burlington Mall. She had a blast!

We even got some snow while we were there. We even took in a Disney on Ice show, which you really enjoyed.
You even had your first manicure, which you choose a bright sparkly blue nail polish.

We finally went home January 7. January went by very fast, and our beloved Pfitzauf got very sick. We were happy to have come home and have some time with him. Daddy and you manage to get some serious skiing in, while Mommy was at practice on Saturday.

February 12, we had to lay our beloved Pfitzauf to rest. We miss him so much that it hurts. He will be sorely missed by many, as he was like their dog too.

Maya got some new specs:

Just before taking off for our February vacation, Maya had a little gymnastic meet and got her first medal:

Then we took off for a week to Val dIsere. We started vacation spending some time with Uncle Fred and Johanna. Maya was thrilled to see her. They did a little skiing together and lots of sledding.

Maya has become an amazing skier!! She passed her test and received her Flocon medal

Flexible anyone?!?
